When you work with Streamline Telecom on any project large or small, you will benefit from the professional approach we take to working with our clients. Below is a description the workflow we use for a typical project (see our list of services for examples of typical projects).
After contacting Streamline Telecom to request a bid on a project, we will schedule a site inspection at your facility. This will allow us to check things such as ceiling height, surface materials, and other factors that could affect the scope of the project. This will ensure that we give you an accurate estimate for the cost and time it will take to complete the project.
After completing the site inspection, we will give you a quote for the project. For smaller projects, we will usually have the quote ready within 1-2 business days, but for larger projects it may take up to a week. You will have the opportunity to review the quote, ask questions, and request changes if necessary. Once the quote is approved, the contract is signed, and an initial deposit is made, work on the project can begin.
Depending on the nature of the project, work can often begin immediately after the contract is signed. We will keep you up to date on the status of the project via email and phone calls, and will meet with both you and other contractors involved in the project as necessary to keep things on schedule and running smoothly. When we work on an occupied building, we will do our best to minimize disruption of day-to-day operations in your facility while completing the project.
Project Completion and Testing
One the project is complete, we will move into the testing phase to make sure that there are no problems that need to be addressed. Depending on the project, this could involve testing cable connections, making sure card readers are working properly, and testing shots with security cameras to make sure that views are not obstructed. If applicable, we will provide you with any relevant test results or as-built documentation at the end of the project.
Unlike some of our competitors, Streamline Telecom provides limited support free of charge after a project is complete. For example, if your staff needs assistance operating an access control system we install, we will be happy to provide training for them. You are encouraged to call us with any questions or concerns you have after the end of the project.
